Ticket To Ride United Kingdom
This expansion for Ticket to Ride contains a United Kingdom map which introduces technologies and Pennsylvania and company investments!
The 2-4 player United Kingdom map sees you start in England and requires you to trade in locomotive cards to get upgrades that allow you to claim longer routes and build ferry crossings. You also need to buy concessions before you can branch your rail network out into, Wales, Ireland, Scotland and France and one player can even claim the longest route over the Atlantic to New York!
With a new train deck included that has a higher than usual count of locomotive cards and the new ability to trade any four cards in as a locomotive opens up a whole new way to play Ticket to Ride.
On the reverse side of the board is the 2-5 player historical rail map for Pennsylvania. Playing this map introduces railroad company stocks to the game of Ticket to Ride. With 9 different available companies with a varying number of available stocks for each. After claiming a route a player can take a share from one of the attached corresponding companies. The more stocks you have from a company the more points you score at the end of the game. The sooner you invest in a company will give you an edge if you end up tied for the number of stocks.
Both maps require components from a previous version of either Ticket to Ride or Ticket to Ride Europe. United Kingdom requires 35 trains per player, while Pennsylvania needs the full compliment of 45 trains and also the 110 Train Car Cards from either core game or the USA 1910 expansion. This is not a standalone game and needs either base game in order to be able to play.
