Machi Koro
Machi Koro, the infectious Japanese Card Game that sees you trying to build up a city to be the first to complete landmark locations. 2-4 players each start out with just a Wheat Field, a Bakery, three coins and the four un-constructed landmark establishments. From there players gain income which they use to build more establishments with the aim of getting greater income in future turns, for more expensive buildings. The first player who manages to build all the four landmarks wins the game.
Hailing from Japan Machi Koro has some really charming artwork which has been kept for the English release. A great family game that is affordable, easy to teach and quick to play. All the card interactions are simple and the game has a blend of luck and strategic decisions, from what buildings to purchase to how many dice you roll. Poised to become a future classic that will easily find a home in many people’s collections.
